Thanks to everyone for your kind words over the past few days. We are grateful for our fantastic and supportive family and friends.
The surgery went well yesterday. I'm feeling surprisingly well today and working on finishing this dissertation. It's due to my committee on April 1, so time is ticking away.

I'm so sorry this happened to you and Nate. I did a little reading on the subject and it just seems so crazy. I'd never even heard of it. I'm really glad your sugery went well.
I am so sorry to hear this Sara. It must be a very hard time for you. Take a good rest. And let me know when you are coming to Austin. I'd be more than happy to pick you up at the airport.
